Job summary

EightCAP, Inc. seeks a Classroom Aide to support early childhood education in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms in Michigan. You will help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment when regular staff are unavailable and assist with meals, activities, and daily routines.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory standards, with opportunities to participate in professional development and growth within the program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with early childhood programs and food service preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff, families, and partners.
• Must complete all required state and federal background clearances.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and maintain an organized classroom environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Model healthy eating habits and positive behavior.
• Prepare meals and snacks per menus and keep areas clean.
• Comply with Head Start, LARA, CACFP regulations.
• Maintain records and report suspected abuse or neglect.
• Communicate with children, parents, staff and partners.
• Collaborate with families and community partners.
• Participate in professional development and perform other duties.
