Job summary

The Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency seeks a Grantee Services Coordinator to support Head Start families and children, coordinating referrals to mental health and disability services and ensuring program compliance.

You will work closely with families, staff, and partner agencies, track services, maintain records, and advocate for children’s needs while upholding Head Start standards and agency policies. A bachelor’s degree and experience in social services are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, child development, psychology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in social services or educational settings with children and families.
• Strong understanding of child development, educational programs, and family dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Track and follow up referrals for children needing additional services.
• Identify, track, and refer children and parents who may need mental health services.
• Conduct observations, screenings, and assessments per yearly work plan.
• Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of child services programs; ensure developmental, educational, and emotional needs are met.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to address children’s needs.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness; collect data and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate records in Child Plus of services provided and outcomes.
• Advocate for children’s needs; ensure voices are heard and respected.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal/ethical guidelines.
• Facilitate Concern Child meetings with staff; coordinate staff training on mental health and disability issues.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Represent the agency at Health and Mental Health Services Advisory Committee meetings.
