Job summary

The Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency seeks a Grantee Services Coordinator to oversee Head Start programs, coordinate referrals to mental health and disability services, and ensure compliance with standards.

You will work with families, children, and staff to deliver timely, compassionate services, maintain records in Child Plus, and partner with schools and providers while upholding confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, child development, psychology or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience with children and families in social services or education.
• Strong understanding of child development and family dynamics.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.

Responsibilities

• Track and follow up referrals for children needing services through LEA or Help Me Grow.
• Identify and refer children and parents who may need mental health services.
• Conduct observations, screenings, consultations, and assessments as outlined in the yearly work plan.
• Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations of child services programs, ensuring services meet developmental, educational and emotional needs of children.
• Collaborate with families, schools and community organizations to identify and address the needs of children.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of child services programs, collecting data and making recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records in Child Plus of services provided, client progress and program outcomes.
• Advocate for the needs and rights of children, ensuring that their voices are heard and respected.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical guidelines and legal requirements regarding children’s services.
• Facilitate Concern Child meetings with designated staff.
• Collaborate with professional development team to provide training on mental health and disabilities issues.
• Assist in the coordination of mental health/disabilities services provided.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
• Provide representation at the Health and Mental Health Services Advisory Committee meetings.
• Build and maintain community partnerships with mental health/disabilities providers serving Head Start families.
• Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance and Quality Assurance Standards and CAA Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure that all programs and activities follow local, state and federal regulations.
