Puget Sound Educational Service District seeks a Head Start Assistant Teacher (SCHOOL SCHEDULE POSITION) to join our team of educators and work in a strong collaborative partnership with the Teacher and Lead Teacher. Job duties include collaborating with the Lead Teacher in designing and leading children’s learning, documenting children’s outcomes, and working with families.

Qualifications

• WA state ECE Initial Cert, short Cert. of specialization OR CDA.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish.
• Early childhood experience in childcare, development center, or preschool.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instructing children and supporting Lead Teacher.
• Document children's outcomes and progress.
• Collaborate with families to support growth and development.
• Maintain records and participate in health screenings when needed.
• Engage in active supervision to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Follow weekly curriculum plans in collaboration with classroom team.
• Engage in meetings/workshops to stay current with program requirements.
