Job summary

Base is hiring its first Workplace Lead to professionalize and scale the Workplace function as we grow across the US. You’ll own the planning and execution of launching new office sites, manage HQ and BF1 teams, and stand up part-time contracted support for warehouse sites.

You will build the Workplace team, coordinate space planning for HQ and factory campus, manage vendor contracts, and partner with IT for site builds. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role requiring travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years running workplace or operations for fast-growing startups.
• Experience building and leading a small team from the front.
• Strong planning for physical operations and space utilization.
• Willingness to travel approximately 1 week per month.

Responsibilities

• Own Workplace operations across all existing sites and plan and launch new warehouse office sites across the US.
• Travel and be on site at least one week for each new site launch; roughly every 1-2 months.
• Build and manage the Workplace team; define staffing requirements and grow with lean structure.
• Lead space planning for HQ and future expansion to accommodate headcount growth.
• Own vendor relationships and contracts; negotiate terms and monitor renewals.
• Partner with IT and Deployments for initial build-out and ongoing Workplace improvements.
• Set standards and operating rhythm for an in-office culture across sites.
• Represent Workplace in planning Base’s future campus (HQ and Factory) targeted for early 2028.
