Horizon3 is a fully remote cybersecurity company delivering autonomous pentests via the NodeZero platform. We seek a senior leader to guide web application discovery, crawling, and attack surface enumeration while shaping the technical roadmap and mentoring engineers.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years leading security or engineering teams, strong Python skills, and experience with CI/CD. The role offers remote work with travel up to 10% and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering or security teams (3–5+ years).
• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with management duties.
• Strong coaching, performance management and growth focus.
• Solid understanding of modern web app structure and APIs.
• Experience with web crawling, discovery, and SPAs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the engineering team focused on web discovery, crawling, and surface enumeration.
• Set direction, standards, and quality for discovery features in NodeZero.
• Mentor engineers and scale the team as Horizon3 grows.
• Collaborate with product to translate gaps into roadmap input.
• Ensure coverage and testability of discovery passes for real-world apps.
