The Sanitation District 1 of Northern Kentucky seeks a Director of Collection Systems to lead the wastewater collection network, optimizing reliability and efficiency. The role requires engineering background, strong problem solving, and the ability to drive policy and program outcomes.

You will translate organizational goals into actionable plans, manage budgets, and foster a positive morale while upholding SD1 culture and stakeholder relations. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or applied sciences required.
• Ten years of wastewater construction or maintenance experience preferred.
• Five years of supervisory experience required.

Mansioni

• Manage and supervise subordinate supervisors responsible for SD1’s assets.
• Build reports and analyze data to effectively manage SD1 assets.
• Participate in hiring, evaluation, training, and disciplinary action within the Collections System staff.
• Manage budget(s) and has delegated authority to allocate financial resources; fiscal management includes contract oversight.
• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate programs to achieve broad objectives; define measurements.
• Develop solutions to policy issues and implement plans.
• Evaluate and monitor the efficiency of business procedures and apply improvements.
• Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
• Review financial information and adjust operational budgets regularly
• Evaluate performance via goals and metrics for efficiency and productivity
• Participate in asset management program and long-range plan
• Attend meetings with directors, managers, contractors, engineers and others
• Prepare management reports and correspondence on routine collections data
• Maintain regular attendance and compliance with rules
• Comply with environmental rules and SD1 regulations
