Job summary

US Foods in California is seeking a Manager, Warehouse to lead a team of on-site associates in a safety-first culture. You will manage receiving, storage, picking, and loading, ensuring accuracy and on-time shipments while upholding food safety standards.

The role requires several years in warehouse distribution, people leadership, and strong communication. You will partner with operations management to optimize throughput, reduce costs, and maintain compliance with OSHA, HACCP, and MSS/FSQA

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution required.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce required.
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset that ensures that every US Foods associate remains injury free, always.
• Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching, training, and policy adherence.
• Direct and supervise the work and productivity of associates within the warehouse department.
• Participate in building high-performing teams by interviewing and hiring warehouse personnel.
• Lead and direct associates to achieve accurate orders that are staged and loaded on trucks.
• Monitor operational information to ensure shifts meet rates and follow best practices.
• Designate dock locations and ensure stock is in correct locations per FIFO.
• Maintain the safety and physical condition of the warehouse and equipment.
• Work with the operations team to identify inventory shrink sources and cost controls.
• Regularly inspect facility safety hazards and report or resolve them.
• Ensure Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and FSQA requirements are followed.
• Schedule shifts using planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Other duties assigned by manager.
