Job summary

Peninsula Light Company is seeking an experienced Operations leader to direct the Operations Department and coordinate with the Electric Superintendent. The role drives strategy, safety, reliability, and asset management to serve our member/customers.

The position oversees budgeting, performance metrics, and emergency response, reporting to the CEO. Exempt status with an on-site schedule, and participation in on-call rotations during storms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; strong leadership experience.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible utility management experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for operational activities to support Company objectives, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and monitor metrics, communicate performance to the CEO and Board.
• Lead storm response and emergency on-call rotation with the management team.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop department staff; ensure staffing levels and performance expectations.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to PLC policies.
