Job summary

Altius Talent | Freight Forwarding Recruitment is recruiting for a Head of Sales for a top-10 global freight forwarder, based in Houston. You will own the US sales target and gross profit growth across air and ocean freight forwarding, set the commercial strategy, and lead the national sales team.

This is a senior leadership role reporting to the board on pipeline, forecast and performance. You will hire, coach, and secure major accounts while building the commercial engine with a strong network

Qualifications

• 12+ years in freight forwarding sales, including leading a national or regional team.
• Grow revenue and gross profit across air and ocean.
• Strong network across importers, exporters and BCOs nationally.
• Lead from the front and own a number.

Responsibilities

• Own the US sales target and gross profit growth across air and ocean.
• Lead, coach and grow the national sales team, including hiring.
• Set the commercial strategy and the commission structure.
