Job summary

NATO Headquarters Allied Joint Force Command Norfolk seeks an experienced Travel Office specialist to manage and supervise all duty travel for JFC HQ and supported elements, coordinating air, rail and surface movements, and liaising with contracted travel agencies. • Higher secondary education or secondary education with vocational training and 3–5 years related experience.
• 4 years' experience in commercial travel or transportation management.
• Experience supervising staff and managing records.
• Experience with contacts across commercial carriers and transport systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise duty travel for JFC HQ and supported elements.
• Liaise with contracted travel agencies to assure cost effective service.
• Process travel orders, approve and authenticate as appropriate.
• Establish travel modes, routes and cost controls in line with budgets.
• Provide guidance on FinS travel module usage and training.
