Job summary

Travere Therapeutics seeks an Executive Director, Translational Medicine and Pediatric Planning to lead integrated translational and pediatric development strategy across the portfolio.

This role connects disease biology, nonclinical findings, biomarkers, clinical pharmacology, and emerging clinical data to decisions on indication selection, dose, proof of mechanism, and development progression, with accountability for pediatric planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in medicine or related discipline; MD/DO preferred.
• 12+ years in clinical research or drug development.
• 5+ years leading pediatric strategy for global programs.
• Experience with PSPs, PIPs, waivers, deferrals, and health authority interactions.
• Experience advancing programs through regulatory submissions and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio-level pediatric development strategy from candidate transition through lifecycle management.
• Develop and execute pediatric plans across indications and therapeutic areas.
• Create translational strategies linking biology, biomarkers, and clinical endpoints.
• Define opportunities for extrapolation and age-group sequencing.
• Establish pediatric starting doses and model-informed development approaches with pharmacology teams.
• Collaborate with CMC and device teams on age-appropriate formulations and delivery.
• Oversee pediatric study design, endpoints, feasibility, and site selection.
• Prepare regulatory deliverables and support FDA/EMA interactions.
