Job summary

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in New York, NY, is seeking its first Director, Technology & Information Systems to lead an in‑house technology function that supports fundraising, finance, and program software.

You will own IT strategy, oversee operations, data privacy, cybersecurity, and system integration while partnering with leadership to align technology with the mission and ensure scalable, compliant technology platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 8–10 years of progressive technology leadership experience with ownership of IT strategy and operations
• Experience in a nonprofit, foundation, health research, or mission-driven environment preferred
• Hands-on accountability for cybersecurity and data privacy
• Familiarity with fundraising CRM platforms, especially Blackbaud Raiser's Edge

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a technology roadmap aligned with organizational strategy in partnership with leadership
• Oversee IT operations, end‑user support, infrastructure, networks, systems administration, and hardware/software lifecycle
• Lead cybersecurity strategy and data privacy/compliance efforts
• Establish enterprise data governance practices and ensure data integrity and usability
• Provide technical guidance on licensing, system changes, and vendor solutions
• Manage MSP relationship and vendor performance; control IT budget and costs
• Oversee applications, systems and integration across fundraising, finance, grant management, and digital engagement
• Develop AI usage policies and governance aligned with privacy and security standards
• Communicate technology strategy and risk to executives and staff
