Job summary

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation seeks a Director, Technology & Information Systems to own the organization’s technology strategy and operations from an in-house position in New York, NY. This senior technologist will manage MSP relationships, lead data governance, security, and system architecture, and partner across fundraising, finance, and programs to maximize data-driven impact.

Based onsite with a minimum of three days per week, this role drives enterprise data strategy, risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 8–10 years of progressive technology leadership experience.
• Experience in nonprofit, foundation, health research, or mission-driven environments preferred.
• Hands-on accountability for cybersecurity and data privacy.
• Familiarity with fundraising CRM platforms, particularly Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.
• Experience building/rebuilding a technology function with a small internal team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead IT strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee IT operations, end-user support, infrastructure, and lifecycle management.
• Lead cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Establish enterprise data governance and data flows documentation.
• Provide technical guidance on system integration, licensing, and vendor solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships and IT budget with MSP transition planning.
• Advance AI governance and use policies in line with governance standards.
