Head of Technology | Financial Services (ETFs) | London Hybrid / Remote

Space Exec are partnering with a Financial Services Start-Up who provide ETFs, which target long-term, structural trends in specific sectors, to hire a Permanent Head of Technology.

The company have recently received significant funding of £20M from leading investors including Accel, and are looking to expand their presence in the US. The company will offer the successful candidate a lucrative equity package.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team, working closely with the CEO and COO, with complete creative freedom and oversight to bring their tech systems in-house, deciding which software to build on, including portfolio management systems and order management systems.

Location:

• London (hybrid working) or fully Remote (from UK or Europe)

Role Duties:

• Starting as an individual contributor, eventually growing a team / department out underneath you and leading that team to success
• Designing the trading and associated tech-stacks
• Review of the OMS/PMS systems
• Build out an automated management reporting system
• Improving the internal platform, integrating it with third-party clients
• Improving the look and feel of the tech stack

Required Skills:

• Software engineering and leadership experience within asset management
• Experience working at a start-up, scale-up, or scrappy environment
• Experience with the regulatory landscape in the UK or US
• ETF experience (desirable)
