Position’s Core Function

The Head of Technology is responsible for building Ascendancy’s AI Services platform, managing Ascendancy’s tech stack, and ensuring all Ascendancy services run smoothly. This Partner is tasked with building an E2E automated client delivery system integrated with Ascendancy’s long-term vision.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust backend services and APIs to power our core platform
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to support internal analytics and AI/ML applications
• Manage and optimize Ascendancy’s data lake/warehouse architecture
• Design data workflows that integrate and experiment with ML models
• Ensure high performance, security, and reliability across backend systems
• Lead infrastructure decisions, especially related to data governance and scalability
• Be a critical strategic thought-partner for developing Ascendancy’s long-term operations needs
• Manage client dashboards, owning the accuracy of data reported in each dashboard
  
  

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and modern backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Node.js)
• Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark, etc.)
• Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases
• Interest in AI/ML workflows (working with ML engineers, model training, or building inference pipelines)
• Extremely detail-oriented, adaptive, collaborative growth mindset, proactive
• Solid organizational, analytical, logical reasoning, oral, and written presentation skills
• Comfortable and high stress, fast paced environment
