Job summary

ZETTA² is seeking a Head of Talent / Head Recruiter to build and lead the recruiting function from the ground up at our Houston HQ. This senior role will own the candidate experience, pipelines, and leadership alignment during hiring growth.

You will shape recruiting systems, deploy ATS and AI tools, and partner with executives to attract world‑class AI talent across engineering and related roles in a fast-moving, equity‑driven startup environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of human resource and recruiting experience, ideally at fast-paced technology startups.
• Strong communications skills, professional acumen and ability to manage multiple job searches at once.
• Knowledge of various AI technologies and skillsets as they relate to recruiting.
• Strong communicator who loves meeting people and working with them through the recruiting and hiring process.
• Operationally sharp — ability to build recruiting systems and processes, keep tidy to-do lists, and create order in ambiguous environments.
• Interest in AI technologies and helping ZETTA² become an industry leader and truly great company.
• Must be based out of Houston and excited to work from our offices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general HR administrative duties.
• Source, qualify, and interview candidates for our open roles, primarily in engineering and AI.
• Assess candidates for technical background and culture alignment before passing them to the ZETTA² leadership team.
• Stay in close communication with leadership team, leading weekly, monthly and quarterly pipeline reviews to keep hiring in line with company growth.
• Work with senior leadership team to deploy our applicant tracking systems, recruitment technology, and AI-powered recruiting tools.
• Create university recruiting program and support promoting ZETTA² across select universities.

About the Role – Head of Talent / Head Recruiter (Houston HQ Office)

We're looking for a Head of Talent / Head Recruiter to help us find and place the world-class AI-native talent our clients depend on. This role will be part of the founding senior leadership team and allow you to build and lead the recruiting department and team from the ground up and as the company scales.

You’ll have ownership of the full candidate experience: from building outbound pipelines to interviewing for role fit, to keeping the leadership team closely aligned throughout the recruiting process. As a founding member of the ZETTA² leadership team, you will also be responsible for putting the right people, systems and processes in place to support our rapid growth. This is a high energy, critical position for ZETTA² and we are looking for a superstar.

What We Offer

The salary range for this role is $100K – $150K, depending on experience. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for meaningful early-stage equity, quarterly and year-end bonuses, along with a comprehensive benefits package:
