Job summary

Plato is an applied research lab in San Francisco redefining how frontier AI agents are trained by building high-fidelity simulations.

The Head of Talent will own hiring across all functions, design interview loops, and build the candidate pipeline that sustains rapid growth while preserving Plato's rigorous standards. You will partner with founders on org design, headcount planning, and defining the recruiting bar.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in in-house recruiting at a high-growth startup.
• Built pipelines and end-to-end recruiting processes.
• Ability to assess technical resumes and speak with researchers/engineers.
• Judgment to say no to fast-filling seats.
• Closing senior candidates against competing offers.

Responsibilities

• Own hiring end to end across all functions.
• Create and implement hiring bar via competencies and scorecards.
• Build candidate pipelines and partnerships.
• Design and run interview processes.
• Own Ashby system and recruiting data.
• Scale talent function with recruiters as volume grows.
