Job summary

Savannah College of Art and Design seeks a director of business development for Savannah Film Studios (SFS) to lead business development, marketing, sales, and relationship-building, positioning the backlot as a premier production destination and creating career opportunities for SCAD students.

You will drive revenue, bookings, and utilization, travel to industry events, host client tours, and collaborate with SCAD leadership to connect professional productions with student learning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Proven track record in revenue generation and deal closing.
• Extensive network across film, TV, music, or advertising production.
• Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a business development strategy to maximize revenue, bookings, and utilization of SFS and the backlot.
• Oversee the sales process from prospecting to contracting and booking.
• Build and leverage a network of production companies, studios, agencies, brands, networks, producers, and industry professionals.
• Develop long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and partnerships.
• Collaborate with SCAD leadership to connect productions to student learning, internships, mentorship, and career opportunities.
