Job summary

Con Edison Co. seeks a Section Manager of Steam Operations Training to establish, lead, and manage a new training function focused on developing, updating, and delivering effective technical programs for Steam Operations.

You will provide direction to a team of about eight direct reports, and collaborate with operations, compliance, engineering, and the Learning Center to ensure training needs are identified, prioritized, and aligned with operational performance.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, proactive leader with strong technical knowledge and sound judgment.
• Experience building a new function from the ground up and aligning training outcomes with operational performance.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to identify and address training needs.

Responsibilities

• Establish, lead, and manage a new Steam Operations Training department.
• Develop, update, and deliver effective technical training programs.
• Provide leadership to a team of eight direct reports including Operations Trainers, Training Coordinators, and Training Specialists.
• Create, maintain, and improve curriculum plans, content, and documentation.
• Align training with regulatory requirements, procedures, lessons learned, and feedback from internal customers.
