Job summary

Con Edison is seeking a Section Manager of Steam Operations Training to establish and lead a new department focused on developing, updating, and delivering technical training for Steam Operations. You will oversee a team of eight direct reports and collaborate with operations, compliance, engineering, and the Learning Center to align training with performance goals.

The role requires extensive experience in curriculum development, adult learning, and training evaluation, plus strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of work experience in an operating area.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, managerial, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience developing or implementing technical training or curricula.
• Knowledge of adult learning methods and training effectiveness evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of a new Steam Operations Training department.
• Manage approximately eight direct reports and provide leadership, coaching, and development.
• Ensure safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee design and maintenance of technical course curricula and training materials.
• Develop metrics to track training progress and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal customers and SMEs to update content.
• Travel to steam facility locations to support staff.
