Job summary

Anthropic in Austin seeks a Head of State and Local Government Sales to lead and scale our public sector team across the United States. You will build a high-performing organization, establish strategic relationships with governors' offices, state CIOs, and city leaders, and drive the adoption of safe AI in government workflows.

You will partner with GTM, product, and marketing to define the state and local go-to-market strategy, manage revenue targets, and ensure compliance and security across

Qualifications

• 15+ years of enterprise sales experience with 5+ years leading state and local government teams.
• Deep understanding of state and local government operations, budgets, and procurement.
• Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain top sales talent with high performance culture.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale a state and local government sales team across the U.S.
• Develop go-to-market strategies for state and local government, incl. territory design and forecasting.
• Own revenue targets and manage pipeline visibility and deal progression.
• Forge relationships with governors' offices, state CIOs, agencies, and local leaders.
• Drive adoption of AI in government workflows while ensuring security and compliance.
