Job summary

Summitbsa is seeking a Mayor to lead our staff housing program for a 250-person seasonal team. The role focuses on creating a clean, safe, fun, and supportive living environment and serving as a key member of the leadership team.

You will promote a positive staff culture, manage housing assignments, assist with camp setup and events, and uphold the handbook standards while modeling Scout values.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21+.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and Summit Driving Permit.
• Experience in residence life, camp housing, or staff leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (background screening).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive staff culture and provide excellent service in housing and living needs.
• Maintain staff housing assignments via Teams or Excel.
• Assist with staff camp setup, takedown, social events, and wellness team participation.
• Ensure daily mail collection, sorting, and delivery.
• Conduct daily checks and cleaning for bathhouses, laundry rooms, tenting area, and common areas.
• Address staff concerns or conflicts promptly with confidentiality.
• Uphold housing expectations from handbook and conduct housing checks.
• Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other duties assigned by SBR leadership.
• Abide by policies in the staff handbook.
