Brown & Brown in Plano, TX is seeking a Head of Software Engineering to lead multiple .NET development teams within the Bridge Specialty Group IT organization. You will own delivery, quality, and architectural alignment across Azure-hosted applications, shaping Agile practices and modern engineering tools.

The role requires 15+ years in software engineering, strong leadership, hands-on .NET/Azure experience, and a track record in QA, security, and AI-enabled development.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience with leadership.
• Strong hands-on background with .NET and Azure.
• Proven experience leading manual and automated testing/QA functions.
• Experience applying Agile/Scrum processes and metrics.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and integrating AI into software platforms.
• Ability to partner with architecture, security, and cloud teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow multiple .NET development teams with a culture of excellence.
• Own the QA/Testing function and ensure quality is built into delivery lifecycle.
• Champion Agile/Scrum practices across all development teams.
• Guide .NET/Azure application engineering and modernization roadmaps.
• Drive AI-enabled development and secure coding practices.
