Job summary

Brown & Brown seeks a Head of Software Engineering in Plano, TX to lead multiple .NET teams and own the QA/Testing function. You will champion Agile practices, mentor engineers, and align delivery with architectural roadmaps across Azure-hosted services.

You will drive AI-assisted development, foster secure coding, and manage cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software on time.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including leadership of multiple development teams and/or QA/testing.
• Strong hands-on background with .NET applications and Azure-hosted systems.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum processes and delivering via iterations.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple .NET development teams, coaching and growing engineering talent.
• Own QA/Testing function, including manual and automated testing integration.
• Establish and monitor engineering delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, defect rates).
• Drive AI-enabled development practices and adopt AI-assisted tools.
• Partner with architecture and security teams on secure, scalable solutions.
