Job summary

UGLYCASH seeks a Head of Social Media to own and grow our social presence while shaping the narrative of the company as we build it. You will collaborate with the founders to identify stories worth telling and develop them into ongoing narratives across platforms.

You’ll document the people behind UGLYCASH and what it looks like to build the company, turning moments into compelling storytelling for a new generation of earners online.

Qualifications

• Located in the United States and willing to move to San Francisco after hire (relocation support provided).
• Strong storyteller with an instinct for finding the story people actually care about.
• Experience building and growing an audience across platforms (e.g., Instagram).
• Ability to develop clear content pillars and recurring formats to build a recognizable voice.
• Think in narratives, not just individual posts.
• Strong editorial and creative taste with awareness of cultural relevance.
• Deep internet-native understanding of how people consume and engage online.
• Strategic but hands-on — can shape the story and ensure execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow UGLYCASH's cross-platform social channels, including Instagram, TikTok, and X.
• Own and develop the ongoing narrative of UGLYCASH across social.
• Work with founders to identify stories, personalities, moments, and ideas for content.
• Create recurring storylines, formats, and content arcs to give people a reason to follow.
• Turn company launches, conversations, experiments, wins and everyday moments into compelling narratives.
• Partner with the film creator to decide what should be captured and how those moments become stories.
• Develop and maintain a social content calendar and publishing cadence.
• Stay plugged into internet culture to identify trends and formats for UGLYCASH.
