Job summary

Cat Adoption Team is seeking a Shelter Operations Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for shelter operations and community programs. You will manage admissions, adoptions, foster care, and volunteer engagement while guiding a team of managers and program leads.

As a senior leader, you will translate organizational priorities into departmental plans, oversee budgets, and collaborate with veterinary leadership to ensure humane, efficient services.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in animal sheltering or nonprofit operations.
• Experience supervising managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience developing and managing departmental budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for shelter operations and programs.
• Oversee admissions, adoptions, foster care, and volunteer engagement.
• Lead staffing models, training, and performance management.
