Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC²) seeks a VP of Security Operations to lead the security program’s operational arm, reporting to the CISO. This leader owns SecOps end-to-end for HPC and cloud infrastructure, delivering a measurable mature program with investments, platforms, and teams that detect, respond to, and stay ahead of threats.

You will build and manage five domains, drive incident response per NIST SP 800-61r2, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, GRC, and offensive security,

Qualifications

• Progressive security ops leadership with multi-domain scope.
• Hands-on depth across incident response, vulnerability mgmt, threat intel, GRC, and offensive security.
• Experience building mature SecOps in large-scale HPC/AI infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow Security Operations across five domains with defined SLAs and metrics.
• Own end-to-end incident response per NIST SP 800-61r2 lifecycle; drive MTTD/MTTR improvements.
• Oversee risk-based vulnerability management and remediation across full stack, including firmware and GPUs.
• Build threat intelligence and proactive threat hunting; map to MITRE ATT&CK to drive priorities.
• Lead GRC/Privacy, audits readiness, and align with certification paths.
• Direct offensive security programs and translate findings into stronger controls.
• Own security tooling strategy: SIEM, SOAR, EDR and related platforms; secure resources.
• Represent Security Operations in cross-functional and client-facing contexts.
