Job summary

Immunic Therapeutics is seeking a Director of Scientific Communications to lead integrated scientific communications for vidofludimus calcium and the company’s broader pipeline. You will translate priorities into workplans, oversee publications, congress materials, and field medical content, and ensure compliant, high-quality outputs.

The role requires a PhD/MD/PharmD or equivalent and 8+ years in scientific communications or related biopharma fields.

Qualifications

Advanced scientific or clinical degree required, such as PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent.
8+ years of relevant experience in scientific communications, publications, Medical Affairs, medical communications, or related biopharma functions.
Experience developing and executing publication plans, scientific platforms, congress plans, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and other dissemination deliverables.
Strong working knowledge of Good Publication Practice, ICMJE authorship criteria, publication ethics, review processes, and transparency.
Proven ability to select, manage, and lead external agencies, medical writers, publication partners, and other vendors.
Ability to lead through influence, implement strategic direction, oversee cross-functional workstreams, and build scalable capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong prioritization, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee integrated scientific communications plans for publications, congress materials, and field medical content.
Translate priorities into workplans, timelines, and execution roadmaps.
Operationalize and maintain the scientific platform, lexicon, dissemination framework, and core narrative.
Manage publication planning operations, including plans, steering committees, authors, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
Ensure publications and scientific communications follow Good Publication Practice, ICMJE criteria, applicable standards, and internal reviews.
Lead Medical Affairs congress and field content planning, training content, FAQs, and evidence summaries.
Partner with Field Medical leadership to align content with launch-readiness priorities.
Synthesize competitive intelligence and external developments into actionable insights for narrative refinement.
Select, onboard, manage external agencies and medical writers for quality, timelines, and budgets.
Provide operational leadership to external partners and cross-functional teams.
