A leading financial markets SaaS company is seeking a Head of Sales to lead their North American team. The candidate will drive revenue growth, enhance sales processes, and collaborate with key departments to optimize the sales strategy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a pivotal sales leader in a high-growth environment.
Exciting sales leadership opportunity for a high growth financial markets SaaS & data company, managing and leading to success the North Amercian sales & account management team. The head of sales will be responsible for developing and executing a robust sales strategy, and managing the team to drive revenue growth to new heights! Note this role is exclusive to Excelsior Search.
This is a great sales team management opportunity with an innovative SaaS and market data solutions provider for the financial markets. They already have a great global client base of investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds and exchanges etc, and are taking advantage of the untapped market potential for their market leading SaaS & data solutions against the larger market players. With private equity investment and as they scale for growth, they’re looking for a proven sales leader who can lead the sales and account management team.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Oversee a team of new business sales & account management professionals.
- Strategy Development: Further develop and own the North America sales strategy.
- Quota Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to surpass revenue quotas.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and drive growth with both new and existing clients.
- Collaboration: As a member of the senior management team work closely with marketing, customer success, product development, and other departments to align and support sales initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Further develop sales processes and tools to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Pipeline & Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline management to the C suite.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the sales team.
Experience:
- Domain: Experience leading a sales team for a financial markets data or SaaS solution provider. i.e. the likes of FactSet, Bloomberg, LSEG / Refinitiv, S&P, Nasdaq, ICE, Fitch, Moody's, FIS or similar companies etc.
- Sales Achievements: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding team sales targets and revenue goals.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of sales principles and practices, with the ability to effectively coach others.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative abilities; adept at using data and metrics to guide decision-making.
- Team Influence: Demonstrated capability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Leadership: Exceptional leadership, coaching and team-building skills.
- Strategic Planning: Expertise in developing and executing strategic sales plans that align with overall business objectives, fostering sustainable growth and market expansion.
