Job summary

Help Group seeks a strategic Manager of Safety and Workers’ Compensation to lead enterprise safety programs and the workers’ comp operation nationwide from its Los Angeles area campus.

You will partner with TPAs, carriers, and medical providers, drive incident investigations, and build data-driven dashboards to reduce risk and cost while ensuring staff safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Risk Management, HR, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in workplace safety, risk management, EHS, or workers' compensation administration.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing safety or workers' compensation programs.
• Experience overseeing workers' compensation claims in California with TPAs, carriers, medical providers, and legal counsel.
• Experience developing and implementing organization-wide safety programs.
• Experience managing regulatory compliance, including Cal/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise-wide safety program, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across locations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, including Cal/OSHA, via audits, inspections, risk assessments, policy development, and training.
• Oversee incident prevention and response, including investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, emergency preparedness, and business continuity.
• Manage all aspects of the workers' compensation program, from injury reporting to return-to-work coordination and claim closure.
• Partner with third-party administrators, insurance carriers, legal counsel, and medical providers to manage claims, litigation, settlements, and cost-containment.
• Analyze safety and claims data to drive improvements, develop performance metrics and dashboards, identify trends, and implement risk-reduction strategies.
