Medal.TV is seeking a Head of Safety to own end-to-end compliance for content safety, user data, and platform transparency. You will design and ship systems that reduce manual reviews and cost while maintaining strong safety outcomes.

You’ll lead detection system tests, evaluate policies, stay ahead of GDPR/DSA and other regimes, and partner with engineering on a roadmap that prioritizes automation. You’ll build a small, capable team and define Medal’s safety voice aligned with the brand.

Formación

• Experience leading trust & safety or content policy at a consumer platform.
• Track record automating manual review through classifiers, tooling, or vendor systems.
• Ability to evaluate policies with a cost/benefit approach and communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Proficient in SQL and able to pull data, build an eval harness, and script workflows.
• Understanding of classifiers, LLM-based review, and evaluation of vendor claims.

Responsabilidades

• Own the safety function and shrink manual footprint through automation and metrics.
• Build and test detection systems; set thresholds balancing false positives/negatives.
• Drive regulatory compliance (GDPR, EU/UK rules) and translate into clear guidance.
• Lead product work to automate safety, collaborate with engineering.
• Develop team, hiring, and internal principles for user safety.
