Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager of Firmware/FPGA Engineering to lead a team delivering complex DSP and control solutions for advanced RF transmitter systems.

You will monitor execution, remove barriers, define risks, and report to senior leadership with clear status and recommendations. You will translate requirements into engineering tasks, manage cross‑functional coordination with hardware, software, and manufacturing, and uphold the company’s values and ethics.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years in Firmware/FPGA/digital design.
• Proven leadership of Firmware/FPGA or cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong ability to translate requirements into task plans and measurable deliverables.
• Experience with planning, risk management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Technical credibility in FPGA, firmware, embedded systems, and release processes.
• Excellent communication skills and DoD security clearance eligibility.
• Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support Firmware/FPGA staff to ensure team success and development.
• Translate system requirements into engineering tasks with clear criteria.
• Monitor execution, balance workload, and drive risk mitigation.
• Provide status updates on schedule, risks, blockers, and forecasts to leadership.
• Drive cross-functional coordination with hardware, software, project engineering, and manufacturing.
• Uphold company values and conduct, ensuring compliance and ethics.
• Report any quality problems and implement corrective actions.
• Duties may be modified to meet business needs.
