Job summary

WGI, Inc. seeks a Director of Remote Sensing to lead the Remote Sensing Department within the Geospatial Division.

This role oversees people, technology, equipment, processes, and QA/QC to deliver airborne remote sensing programs and coordinate with other departments. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, develop scalable production workflows, and ensure high-quality deliverables while supporting business development and client engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in LiDAR, photogrammetry, or remote sensing with leadership of technical teams.
• Experience managing remote sensing production operations with multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong knowledge of airborne LiDAR, imagery acquisition, and QA/QC procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of GNSS/IMU trajectory processing and sensor calibration.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations of Remote Sensing Department, staffing, capacity, and production planning.
• Provide operational oversight of airborne LiDAR and imagery acquisition programs.
• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures across acquisition and production lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and risk evaluation for complex projects.
• Support business development with technically sound remote sensing solutions.
