Job summary

Loxo seeks a Director of Remote Sensing to lead our geospatial team across airborne LiDAR, mobile and UAS imagery programs in Austin, Denver, Huntsville, West Palm Beach or Orlando. This is an in-office role with travel for field activities and client engagements.

You will manage staff, develop QA/QC standards, drive automation, oversee production from collection to deliverables, and work with project managers to meet budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading geospatial teams and production operations in LiDAR and imagery workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC, calibration, accuracy assessment, and field workflows.
  • Experience with airborne LiDAR, mobile, terrestrial, and UAS platforms preferred.
  • Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences; client-facing ability.
  • Preferred: ASPRS CP, CMS-LiDAR, or CMT-LiDAR; PLS/LSIT; FAA Part 107.

Job description

Our client is seeking a Director of Remote Sensing to be part of our team in one of the following locations: Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Huntsville, AL, West Palm Beach, FL, or Orlando, FL.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for the people, technology, and processes behind the firm's airborne, mobile, terrestrial, and UAS LiDAR and imagery programs. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team of sensor operators, LiDAR analysts, and photogrammetry and imagery professionals, and partner closely with project managers, surveyors, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget.

This is an in-office position with travel for operations, projects, clients, and field activities. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

What You'll Do

What You Bring
  • 10+ years in LiDAR, photogrammetry, remote sensing, or a related geospatial field
  • Significant experience leading technical teams and managing production operations
  • Strong working knowledge of airborne LiDAR and imagery workflows, including calibration, accuracy assessment, and QA/QC
  • Experience with mobile, terrestrial, and UAS platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with industry-standard LiDAR, photogrammetry, and GIS software
  • Solid understanding of datums, coordinate systems, and survey control
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, GIS, Remote Sensing, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Preferred Certifications

ASPRS CP, CMS-LiDAR, or CMT-LiDAR; PLS or LSIT; FAA Part 107
