Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG owned company, seeks a Manager of Release Management to lead strategy, execution, and governance across cloud, mobile, embedded, and firmware domains. The role partners with Engineering, QE, Product, and DevOps to drive release velocity, reduce risk, and strengthen operational confidence.

You will balance process discipline with agile practices, leveraging CI/CD maturity and automation to scale a high-performing release function.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Release Management, Technical Program Management, or Software Delivery
• Proven experience building or scaling a release management function across multiple tech domains
• Experience leading teams in a multi-product software organization
• Strong expertise in release governance and risk/escalation management
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Release Management function across cloud, mobile, embedded, and firmware domains
• Partner with Engineering, QE, Product, DevOps, and Operations to drive aligned release delivery
• Define release governance, readiness criteria, and approval workflows
• Oversee release calendars, milestones, and interdependencies across domains
• Identify and mitigate release risks and blockers with proactive plans
• Define release health metrics and dashboards for visibility
• Lead post-release reviews and continuous improvement of release processes
