Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking an Offensive Security Manager (Red Team) to lead the enterprise red team, drive adversary emulation and AI-enabled attack simulations, and evolve the offensive program to strengthen detection, response, and overall cyber resilience.

You will mentor a team of red team professionals, partner with Cybersecurity Operations, Threat Intelligence, and Technology teams, define standards and metrics, translate findings into mitigations, and support audits and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with 5+ years in offensive security/red team.
• 3+ years of people leadership managing security engineers or red team members.
• Experience leading complex red team and purple team engagements.
• Strong understanding of attacker techniques and modern offensive security frameworks.
• Experience testing AI-enabled products and services.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the enterprise Red Team program, including adversary emulation and AI-related attack simulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Red Team professionals.
• Design and execute realistic Red Team and Purple Team engagements with intelligence-driven campaigns.
• Assess AI and data-driven risks and integrate them into testing strategies.
• Ensure safety, ethics, and defined guardrails to minimize business disruption.
• Partner with Cybersecurity Operations, Detection Engineering, Security Architecture, and Technology teams.
• Define standards, tools, processes, and metrics for Red Team operations.
• Translate findings into actionable risk mitigation recommendations for senior leadership.
• Support audit, compliance, risk management, and regulatory activities.
• Maintain awareness of evolving threat tactics and industry best practices.
