Job summary

Merck & Co. invites a seasoned Head of Quantitative Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (QP2) Oncology to lead the pharmacology strategy for our oncology pipeline, guiding model-informed development and program design across discovery to lifecycle management.

You will supervise scientists, shape portfolio strategy, and build a modern quantitative operating model, embedding MIDD, PK/PD, exposure-response, and AI/ML approaches; regulatory interactions and governance will be part of this role.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
• 15+ years in drug development with oncology experience.
• Background in biopharmaceutics, pharmacometrics or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Lead QP2 oncology strategy and governance for portfolio decisions.
• Mentor and supervise scientists; shape program design and regulatory interactions.
• Embed model-informed drug development (MIDD) and translational modeling across development stages.
