Job summary

Merck in the United States seeks a Senior Director, Group Leader to lead Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics – Oncology (QP2 Oncology). You will shape MIDD strategies guiding dose selection, trial design, and key regulatory decisions across oncology programs.

You will mentor a team of QP2 scientists, partner with Clinical Development, Translational Medicine, Biostatistics, and Regulatory to translate nonclinical findings into clinical plans and ensure timely, high‑value deliverables

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics or pharmacometrics or related field with ≥10 years in pharma.
• Master’s/PharmD with ≥15 years in industry and demonstrated leadership.
• Background in biopharmaceutics/pharmaceutical sciences/pharmacometrics.
• Oncology knowledge and ability to lead interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead quantitative pharmacology strategy across oncology programs.
• Develop and implement integrated MIDD strategies for decisions.
• Align modeling with regulatory expectations and business priorities.
• Mentor and develop a team of QP2 scientists and manage performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate insights.
• Represent QP2 in governance forums and program leads.
