Job summary

Palm Harbor Homes is seeking a Quality Control Manager to guide design, configurations, and production for high-quality manufactured homes. You will oversee QA programs, ensure compliance with ANSI, HUD and IRC, and supervise QA staff with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include leading safety, training, budgeting, and coordinating with engineering and production to resolve quality issues and ensure homes are ready for sale.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication and leadership skills.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Experience in quality control within manufactured housing or similar production.
• Ability to coach and develop staff; pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and health standards for all employees.
• Oversee quality control and regulatory code programs in plant.
• Ensure homes meet procedures before labeling/certification.
• Compile cost control and statistical data.
• Develop approaches for high-quality output.
• Train staff on TQM programs and processes.
• Manage annual department budget and approvals.
• Coordinate with design/engineering for guidance documents.
• Review inspections and ensure documentation is complete.
• Identify root causes and drive corrective actions in production.
