Job summary

Palm Harbor Homes is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure materials, components and final products meet quality and regulatory standards. You will inspect, test and document results, supporting design and production teams to uphold high-quality home components.

The role requires reading schematics, strong problem-solving, and teamwork, with attention to safety and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks. A pre-employment drug screen is required and bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and substantial experience in and clear understanding of the requirements across multiple production areas in a fabrication/manufacturing environment.
• Must read and interpret schematics and have excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience in quality control inspection preferred including building code knowledge and understanding of manuals, standards, regulations.

Responsibilities

• Works in a safe manner following all safety policies while performing job duties.
• Follows work orders and instructions to review preparation and assembly of components based on specifications and HUD/regulatory requirements.
• Inspects incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance; communicates violations and corrective actions.
• Collaborates with production supervisors, team leads, and line workers to discuss inspection results and provide guidance.
