Job summary

Palm Harbor Homes is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to support design and production teams in manufacturing high-quality homes and components in accordance with regulatory requirements.

The role focuses on inspecting materials, components, and finished products, ensuring adherence to quality, regulatory, and engineering specifications, and collaborating with production to improve quality continuously.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Physically demanding: lift 40+ pounds and work various motions.
• High school diploma and ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Quality control inspection experience preferred, including knowledge of building codes.

Responsibilities

• Works in a safe manner following all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by addressing safety concerns with supervision.
• Follows work orders to review preparation and assembly of building components per specs and HUD requirements.
• Inspects materials, in-process production, and finished products for compliance; documents defects and required corrections.
• Collaborates with production supervisors and line staff to discuss inspection results and guidance.
• Documents inspection results with reports and checklists; communicates violations to supervisors.
• Keeps tools, equipment, and work area clean and organized.
• Performs other duties as assigned as needed.
