Job summary

Impact Housing seeks a Quality Supervisor to lead the Quality Control team in its modular home manufacturing facility in Southern California. You will supervise inspectors, manage inspection programs, and drive root cause analysis and CAPA while partnering with Production and Engineering to lift overall quality.

In this hands-on role, you will implement Lean initiatives, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with California HCD and building codes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in manufacturing or construction.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience leading root cause analysis, CAPA, and continual improvement.
• Working knowledge of PFMEA, quality management systems, and Lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience tracking and improving quality KPIs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Quality Control Inspectors.
• Schedule daily inspection activities to support production goals.
• Manage inspection plans, quality documentation, and non-conformance resolution.
• Approve final product release for shipment.
• Lead root cause investigations and CAPA.
• Facilitate PFMEA and support continuous process improvements.
• Oversee the PRR process from initiation through closure.
• Monitor and report quality KPIs, including first-pass yield and defect trends.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, standard work, audits, 5S, and error-proofing.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Safety to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with California HCD requirements and regulatory inspections.
• Support supplier quality initiatives and internal/external audits.
• Promote a safe work environment and adherence to safety policies.
