Generate:Biomedicines in the United States seeks a Senior Director to lead Protein Analytics & Biophysics within the Therapeutics division. You will set a multi-year vision for analytic and biophysical platforms supporting design-build-test-learn across protein therapeutics.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years in biopharma or biotech, a PhD, and a proven track record in scalable assay platforms, biosensor technologies, and AI/ML-enabled design integration while leading diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field; or equivalent depth of industry experience.
• 12+ years in biopharma/biotech with leadership in protein analytics, biophysics, developability, and protein interactions.
• Proven track record building/scaling novel assay platforms for protein therapeutics.
• Ability to advance AI/ML-enabled protein design with experimental data.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive multi-year scientific and organizational vision for Protein Analytics & Biophysics.
• Define next-gen measurement capabilities for developability and protein interactions.
• Lead evolution of analytical workflows (HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, biosensors) for high-throughput data.
• Build strategies linking conventional analytics with pooled, multiplexed approaches.
• Partner across functions to design, validate, and scale new assay concepts.
• Establish data standards, controls, and analytics for model training and decision-making.
• Represent the function with executives and external partners, translating strategy into actionable plans.
