Job summary

The HFW Companies is seeking a Director of Project Controls to provide enterprise-wide leadership of project controls across HFW and its member firms. The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and focuses on strengthening project financial performance, consistency in controls, and offering clear insight into project health and profitability.

Responsibilities include overseeing policies, processes, and tools; consolidating performance reporting; and guiding teams across distributed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Progressive experience in project controls and financial analysis.
• Experience leading controls across multiple projects or organizations.
• Strong understanding of project budgets, forecasting, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of enterprise project controls across the organization.
• Standardize processes and performance metrics across member firms.
• Lead and coach project controls teams and external resources.
• Deliver monthly project performance reporting and profitability insights.
• Analyze project financial performance and variances with leadership.
• Develop and improve project controls policies and tools.
• Oversee earnings, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Project leaders to improve profitability.
• Lead training programs for project controls and management practices.
• Ensure consistency of reporting and adherence to standards.
