Job summary

Finite State is seeking a Head of PSC Engineering to hire, mentor, and lead a team delivering security services across firmware analysis, penetration testing, PSIRTaaS, and compliance. You will own the technical relationship with customer accounts and drive service delivery end-to-end.

The role blends leadership with roughly 20-25% hands-on work, overseeing capacity, quality, and operating models while reporting to the Chief Security Officer.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct people management experience.
• 8+ years in product security, embedded security, or related field with customer-facing services.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Hands-on depth in firmware/binary analysis, penetration testing, or threat analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching PSC Engineers and develop leaders.
• Own delivery of engagements from scoping to review, with KPI reporting.
• Plan capacity and utilization; balance billable work with managed services.
• Operationalize PSIRTaaS and Compliance-as-a-Service with runbooks and SLAs.
• Connect the field to the product; ensure tooling is integrated into the product.
• Own senior customer outcomes; manage escalations and strategic reviews.
