Job summary

Finite State is seeking a Staff Product Security Engineer - Offensive Testing to own the technical relationship with enterprise accounts, perform firmware and binary analysis, and deliver actionable security findings you can turn into measurable risk reductions.

You'll work with security and engineering teams across industries, using the platform's AI tooling to accelerate testing, threat modeling, and remediation while guiding customers through regulatory requirements and secure product

Qualifications

• 5+ years in customer engineering, solutions engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Hands-on experience building integrations, SDKs, automation, APIs, or platform extensions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with a portfolio of customer accounts.
• Analyze real-world devices through firmware and binary analysis, SBOM and software supply chain investigations, vulnerability triage, and remediation guidance for products that ship in the millions.
• Execute penetration tests and hands-on security assessments of embedded systems, including hardware and software, delivering findings for engineers and executives.
• Run threat modeling and product risk assessments to shape secure design and shipping of products.
• Build integrations, data-source feeds, automation, SDK-based extensions, and AI-driven workflows on the Finite State platform.
• Guide customers through regulatory requirements (EU Cyber Resilience Act, RED, FDA cybersecurity) turning compliance into engineering clarity.
• Communicate across firmware, security, CISOs, and boards in writing and speaking -- building trust at all levels.
• Own outcomes across adoption, delivery, support, and account health; coordinate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and PSC.
