Job summary

Reducto in San Francisco is seeking a Head of Product Engineering to lead the engineering team building our agentic document platform. You will set direction for product development, ensuring fast, reliable, precise experiences and defining the technologies and AI applications used in the product.

This is a hands-on role; you will ship as an engineer in the initial months before fully stepping into leadership, collaborating with founders and the product team to deliver value and scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading teams that built impactful applications.
• Ability to ship from ideation to production-quality code when needed.
• Experience working with customers or doing customer discovery/research.

Responsibilities

• Shape which products we build and how we build them with founders and the product team.
• Create delightful, intuitive UIs that decompose complex workflows.
• Prototype and iteratively deliver new features like document handling and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Source and recruit product engineers to build the platform.
• Define how AI is used in the development process.
• Collaborate with Platform and ML engineering to deploy models and capabilities.
