Job summary

FutureTech Recruitment partners with a fast-growing AI startup to hire a Head of Product Engineering. You will lead an 8-person product engineering team, shipping production code initially, then taking full ownership while staying hands-on.

You’ll shape what gets built with founders, product, and enterprise customers, ensuring a high quality UI and robust document workflows. This role reports to the VP of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams that shipped impactful applications.
• Shipped LLM-powered features to production.
• 3+ years managing engineers in AI-native or enterprise contexts.
• Built products for B2B or enterprise AI.
• Thinks with product mindset and can discuss evals and value.

Responsibilities

• Ship production code in early months, then own the 8-person team while staying hands-on.
• Shape what gets built with founders, product, and enterprise customers.
• Maintain high UI quality and reliability for complex document workflows.
• Own hiring for product engineering and grow the team.
• Collaborate with Platform and ML teams to deploy models and define AI usage in builds.
