Job summary

Superfeet, designed for movement, seeks a Director of Product Development to lead Product Development and Product Engineering. This role drives time-to-market, quality, and profitability by turning bold ideas into consumer-ready products.

You will build a high-performing team, manage workflows, and partner with suppliers to ensure brand standards and strategic goals are met across footwear and wellness categories. Hybrid in Ferndale, WA.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience leading product development, technical development, or commercialization in a consumer products environment.
• Experience with PLM systems and CAD tools.
• Experience leading teams and working with cross-functional partners to bring products from concept to commercialization.
• Experience in footwear, insoles, orthotics, outdoor, performance, wellness or related product categories is strongly desired.
• Understanding of product timelines, cost targets, quality standards and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing Product Development team across Product Development and Product Engineering.
• Proactively manage and organize the workflow for all members of the Product Development team.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen product quality, execution and speed-to-market.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce time-to-market and advance the function, value and profitability of our products.
• Contribute to the creation of the overall Product Department strategy and translate it into clear priorities, plans and actions for the Product Development team.
• Lead and manage the product development process.
• Oversee the timely creation, delivery, approval and maintenance of all technical product information (including BOM’s, Tech Packs, RSL and SOP documents) to ensure all products projects match the needs, cost targets and schedule goals.
• Ensure effective Product Development team communication with suppliers and vendor partners throughout the product development process.
• Ensure uniformity and consistency of brand standards across all product projects.
